Dear Santa...

Please deliver this Amy Butler bag for Kalencom. I promise I would use it every day!

Aren't the colors beautiful? and the shape! It has me thinking that maybe I could make my own version of this carry-on bag. I haven't sewn a lot of bags, so it would be some work... I think I have found a project for the new year.

Nora's Nursery

Nora's Nursery
I have to admit, it has been fun looking at all of the girl stuff for the baby's room. Above is my inspiration board for the nursery. We bought the Jenny Lind crib and matching changing table off of Craigslist for $35. We have gotten some pretty great deals and lets be honest there will probably be a couple of splurges before it's all done.
Sorry for the lack of posting, we have lost our camera cord, so I have lots to update on, but no way of uploading my pictures. Hopefully, I will find/buy it soon so that I can be better about posting.

Nora= Latin for 'honor, light'
We have chosen Nora for our baby girl, we wanted to choose a name that wasn't too trendy and that had significant meaning. We are pretty smitten with our little girl already, I don't even mind that she was kicking me like crazy at 4:30 this morning! I'm trying to take it all in because it's going by so fast. Her kicks this week are already so much stronger than last week...she keeps growing and so do I, I will post pictures of how large I am soon.

We are so happy!

Caleb and I have been so busy! Sorry I have checked out for such a long period of time, I have been working evening shifts and Caleb works early mornings and then he has been taking the EMT course. We've both been exhausted, and I have not had the energy to post. That doesn't mean that we don't have lots of exciting news though.
We had our 20 week ultrasound on Wednesday and as soon as she put the monitor to my stomach this is what we saw...

... It's a good thing we wanted to find out because it was fairly obvious that she had lady parts. The ultrasound tech, said "uh... do you want to know now what it is?" And I replied "I think I know, are those labia?". She cooperated through the entire ultrasound, so much that it was way shorter than it was supposed to be, I was wishing that she had saved some of her energy that she used to keep me up all morning, but instead she snoozed through the entire ultrasound.

We couldn't be more excited to meet our little girl, she has already turned her dad to mush. Caleb is absolutely adorable how he talks about his baby girl.

Decorating

I picked up this beauty and its twin at TJMaxx yesterday.I have an amazing glass lantern that I found at Goodwill about a year ago and since then I have been looking for lanterns to pair with it without breaking the bank. These lanterns were $14.99 each!!I'm going to hang them on the front porch of our new little rental house. I will post pictures once they are hung.

Bolero Love

I love this gorgeous bolero made out of silk taffeta. I had silk gown for my wedding and had swooned over several lace bolero's, BUT this bolero takes the cake. I love wedding gowns paired with accessories that can be added or taken away throughout the night to
create more interest. This particular accessory is handmade in Portland, Oregon and can be found on The English Dept's Etsy site.
